Creating a Cozy Outdoor Living Space
Thereโs nothing I love more than spending time outside and since moving into our house, Dyl and I have been dreaming of creating a space that felt like an extension of our home. After lots of researching, I finally landed on Castlery for our outdoor furniture, and I couldnโt be happier. We already have a few pieces from them in our home (including this console table and this sideboard), so it was a no-brainer. Their pieces strike that perfect balance between modern design and comfort, and they completely transformed the vibe of our backyard.
If youโve been wanting to refresh your patio, Castlery is currently running their Labor Day Sale! For a limited time, enjoy up to $500 sitewide and up to 35% off sale picks. Plus, use code CCTAYLORLOVE80 for an extra $80 off $1,500 (this is stackable!).
Our New Outdoor Patio Furniture
When it came time to design our patio, I wanted pieces that felt timeless but still had a little modern edge. Enter: Castlery. Iโve loved their clean, elevated designs for a while, so it was a no brainer to incorporate them into our patio space.
We ended up choosing the Lorna Outdoor L-shape sectional sofa, Lorna swivel lounge chairs, and the Guin side table. We also added in the Lorna ottoman as a multifunctional piece to put our legs up on and use when hosting.
Unboxing everything was so straightforward, and even assembly (which I usually read) was minimal, quick, and easy. Plus, the quality is amazing. Both the sofa and chairs are so sturdy, the cushions are plush, and the overall look is even better in person. Honestly, the second we set everything up, our patio went from cute but basic, to backyard retreat.
Why We Love Castlery
Design & Style
One of the things I love most about Castlery is how thoughtful their designs are. The clean lines and neutral palette make the furniture super versatile, so it easily blends with whatever vibe youโre going for.
For our patio, we wanted to have a cozy, cottage feel that still felt modern, and the Lorna collection was perfect for achieving that look and feel.
Comfort & Functionality
Letโs be honest: pretty furniture that isnโt comfortable is basically useless. Thankfully, Castlery nailed both. The cushions are thick and supportive, which makes lounging outside with a book (or glass of wine) such a dream. The swivel lounge chairs are comfortable enough to sit in for hours, and the layout of the sectional has already made it a go-to spot when we have friends over. I also love how versatile everything feels. I can easily shift pieces around depending on whether weโre hosting for just enjoying a quiet evening.ย
Durability & Maintenance
Living in Tennessee, weather resistance is always top of mind. Iโve been so impressed by how sturdy our new outdoor furniture is, and the fabric has held up beautifully against a few summer storms. I also recommend getting the covers! The cushions are so easy to wipe down. I also appreciate that the pieces are substantial but not overly heavy, making it easy to rearrange the setup without sacrificing durability.
Updating our patio with Castlery has made such a difference – we actually want to be out here all the time now. Whether itโs curling up with a book, hosting family, or just enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day, the space feels so much more inviting.ย
