10 Healthy Summer Reset Tips to Feel Your Best This Season

I don’t know about you girls, but I LOVE to use summer as a healthy reset to kick things off on the right foot. Not with an extreme routine or a long list of goals, but with habits that help me feel healthier, more present, and more grounded. Summer always seems to move quickly, and I’ve found that a few intentional habits can make a huge difference in how I experience the season.

If you’re looking for a summer reset, these are the ten practices I’d focus on.

1. Meditation

Meditation is one of the best tools I’ve found for reducing anxiety and creating mental clarity. The goal isn’t to stop your thoughts. It’s to create space to observe them instead of carrying every worry throughout the day. Even a few minutes of quiet time can help you feel more grounded and present. I love to use my friend’s app in Kajabi for daily energy work & meditation- it has truly changed my life.

2. Weightlifting & Creatine

Strength training has become one of the most important parts of my wellness routine. Whether you’re lifting weights, doing Pilates, or combining both, building strength supports long term health, confidence, and energy levels. My preference is a mix of these!! 3 days per week of each.

Creatine has become one of my favorite wellness staples.  I used to think creatine was just for the gym, but it has helped MASSIVELY with muscle definition and gains! I have a savings code for my girls HERE! Supporting both physical + mental energy is so important to me, and I’ve been loving Creatine & Acetyl-L-Carnitine Energy Plus from LifeExtension as part of my morning routine. Use code TAYLORLOVE to save $10 on purchases of $50+ plus free shipping.

3. Completing Hard Tasks

One idea that has stayed with me is how quickly successful people handle uncomfortable tasks. Instead of letting something sit on your to do list for weeks, shorten the time between knowing it needs to be done and actually doing it. Whether it’s making an appointment, sending an email, or having a difficult conversation, taking action creates momentum.

4. Creating More, Consuming Less

Social media can be inspiring, but it can also leave you stuck in comparison.

This summer, try spending more time creating than consuming. Take photos, write, start a project, make memories, host friends, or learn a new skill. The goal is to spend more time participating in your own life and less time watching everyone else’s

.5. Practicing Slow Living

Summer can quickly become packed with events, travel, and commitments.

Instead of matching the pace around you, consider slowing down. Leave room in your schedule for quiet mornings, evening walks, reading outside, and time without an agenda. Life often feels better when it isn’t rushed.

6. Vacationing at Home

Some of my favorite summer moments happen at home. Fresh flowers from Trader Joe’s, dinner on the patio, coffee outside, open windows, and inviting friends over can make ordinary days feel special. You don’t have to wait for a vacation to enjoy summer. Don’t compare, just slow down & enjoy the moment.

7. Choosing Discipline Over Motivation

Motivation comes and goes. Discipline is what carries you through the days when you don’t feel like doing the workout, putting your phone away, or sticking to healthy habits. Consistency always wins over motivation.

8. Setting Non Productivity Goals

Not every goal needs to revolve around work or achievement. Some of the best goals are reading more books, spending less time on your phone, protecting your peace, getting outside more often, or making time for people you love. Rest is productive too.

9. Nourishing for Health

Instead of focusing on restriction, focus on nourishment. Prioritize protein, colorful foods, healthy fats, and balanced meals that support your energy and overall health. One of the biggest mindset shifts is asking yourself how you can better nourish your body rather than how you can eat less.

10. Daily Wellness Basics

Many of the habits that make the biggest difference are also the simplest.

Morning walks. Sunshine. Hydration. Consistent sleep. Reading before bed.

These small daily practices create a strong foundation and help you stay grounded throughout the season.

Wellness Habits I’ve Been Focusing on Lately:

Fertility & Hormonal Health

If hormonal health is a priority, consider working with your healthcare provider to evaluate blood work and nutrient levels. I’m also incorporating supplements such as CoQ10, inositol, and prenatals as part of their wellness routine to boost things in the fertility department if you know what I mean. 😉

Nutrition Priority

One of the simplest changes you can make is eating a protein rich meal before reaching for caffeine. Starting the day with balanced nutrition can help support energy levels and avoid feeling overstimulated.

Emotional Processing

Therapy, journaling, prayer, and meditation can all be helpful tools for processing emotions rather than carrying stress throughout the day.

Physical Technology

I’ve become a big fan of wellness tools that support healthy habits at home. Red light therapy devices, like my Omnilux mask, have become popular for maintaining a consistent skincare routine and supporting healthy looking skin. It also signals to my body that it’s time to relax!!

Digital Boundaries

Creating boundaries with technology can make a huge difference in sleep quality and mental clarity. Many people are using tools like The Brick to limit phone access during certain hours and create healthier screen habits.

Summer doesn’t have to be about doing more.

Sometimes the best reset comes from slowing down, focusing on the basics, and returning to the habits that help you feel your best.

XO, Tay
