4th of July Hosting Ideas with Patriotic Decor & Outfit Inspo

Cue the start of summer hosting season. ✨🇺🇸♥️🌭 If you love having your friends and family over for summer parties and backyard barbecues, I wanted to share some hosting inspo and all of the decor from our recent BBQ! ♥️.

One of my favorite hosting traditions always starts with a Trader Joe’s flower run. I love picking up hydrangeas and roses and making DIY flower arrangements before everyone comes over. I scatter the arrangements throughout the kitchen, bathrooms, entryway, and patio because flowers make the entire house feel fresh and welcoming. It’s also such a calming & creative process! Florals go so far!

I found the cutest Fourth of July decor pieces for summer hosting. The star shaped snack cups were one of my favorite details for appetizers and snacks, and the American flag garland added the perfect festive touch without feeling overdone, you can hang it inside or outside, which I loved. Everything was also really affordable!

We also found this flag ice bucket cooler that would be perfect for 4th of July.

For food, we kept everything easy. One of our favorite appetizers to make is Cowboy caviar during the summer. We also made hotdogs and hamburgers, plus Ina Garten’s couscous recipe which always works so well for warm weather hosting. And of course, you need a bottle of your favorite wine somewhere in the mix too..

I also linked all of the patriotic outfits inspo because I’ve found so many cute summer pieces lately. Red dresses, gingham pants, lightweight sweaters, woven bags, and easy sandals that feel festive for the Fourth of July without looking overly themed.

Good food, family & friends, the little things like flowers, and time together always end up being what I enjoy most. If you’re planning Fourth of July parties this year, I linked all of the decor, outfit finds, hosting favorites, and recipes for inspiration. ❤️🤍💙
