Festive Holiday Sparkling Cocktail
Holiday hosting always feels extra special; twinkly lights on, music playing in the background, and a festive cocktail in hand as guests arrive. Whether youโre hosting a full holiday gathering or just inviting a few friends over for a cozy night in, I love leaning into easy, intentional touches that make the season feel warm and welcoming. From a signature cocktail to thoughtful hosting details, these are the little things that help take the pressure off and let you actually enjoy the moment! Xxย
Holiday Sparkling Cocktail
Ingredients
- 1 bottle champagne (or your favorite sparkling wine) maybe from DCV ๐ย
- 2 oz fresh lemon juice
- 4 oz vodka
- 5 oz cranberry juice
- 1 oz honey simple syrup (add more if you like it sweeter) just mix honey & a little warm water!ย
- Sugar (for rimming the glass)
- Fresh rosemary & cranberries (for garnish)
How to Make
- Start by rimming your glasses with sugar and setting them aside.
- Pour your bottle of champagne into a large pitcher.
- Combine the lemon juice, vodka, cranberry juice, and honey simple syrup. Gently stir to combine ingredients.
- Pour into prepared glasses and garnish with a sprig of rosemary and a few cranberries!
Bonus – add red velvet ribbon around the rims of the glasses to elevate & make extra cute!!! My girlfriends & I love to do this to make it extra special.ย
Hosting Tip: If you donโt want to make traditional simple syrup, using honey mixed with warm water has been a total game changer. It dissolves easily and adds a subtle warmth to the drink, and it feels a little more intentional without any extra steps.
Holiday Hosting Tips
When it comes to holiday hosting, Iโve learned that a little intuition goes a long way. You donโt need an over-the-top menu. The goal is to create a space that feels welcoming and easy.
Keep It Simple
I love sticking to one signature cocktail and offering a non-alcoholic option alongside it along with bottles of wine! It takes the pressure off and keeps things streamlined, while still making guests feel cared for.
Prep Ahead Whenever You Can
A little prep goes a long way! Having your drink ingredients measured, garnishes prepped, and glassware set out before guests arrive makes hosting feel so much more relaxed. Youโll thank yourself later when youโre actually able to enjoy the moment!
Focus on the Ambiance
Candles, soft lighting, and a good playlist truly do the heavy lifting. These small details instantly make your space feel warm and welcoming, no major decorating required. Holiday Jazz on Spotify is the best!
Donโt Overthink the Menu
A few crowd-pleasing favorites always beat an overly complicated spread. Simple, familiar dishes done well are usually what guests gravitate toward anyway.
Remember What Hosting is Really About
At the end of the day, hosting isnโt about perfection, itโs about gathering. The best nights are the ones filled with conversation, laughter, and lingering around the table. Everything else is just extra!
Holiday Hosting Essentials
A few simple samples can make hosting feel effortless and elevated. Pretty glassware or champagne coupes instantly make any drink feel festive, and a pitcher or carafe keeps things easy so youโre not playing bartender all night. Linen or festive paper napkins are one of my favorite quick upgrades (the Vanity Fair napkins are my favorite for dinner!), and a serving tray helps pull everything together in one spot.
For garnishes, I like to keep it classic with rosemary, citrus, and cranberries. They elevated drinks and double as decor! And of course, a go-to candle is a must for ambiance. These little touches go a long way in making your space feel warm and inviting.
Hosting Essentials:
I hope this gives you a little inspiration as you head into the heart of the holiday season! Whether youโre hosting, gathering with loved ones, or simply enjoying quieter moments at hope, I hope your holiday is filled with warmth, laughter, and time with the people who matter most. Wishing you the happiest holiday season. ๐คโจ
